Four ways I can help

A single contact, in French or English, from the first diagnosis to order follow-up.

01

Diagnosis of the cloths in service

Visit to the installation, examination of used cloths, review of the history: where and why they wear.

02

Selection and comparative trials

Proposal of media suited to the process, trial on one or more plates, measured comparison with the existing cloths.

03

Shutdown preparation

Maintenance shutdowns, inter-campaign shutdowns: quantities, lead times and orders set in advance so you are not left waiting for cloths.

04

Plates, membranes and parts

Plates, membranes, rollers and wear parts: I point you to the right solution, with the manufacturer I represent or your machine's builder.

Equipment covered

Filter cloths and filter media for the main solid-liquid separation equipment.

Filter presses

Recessed chamber and membrane: cloths, under-cloths, fitting on plates.

Belt filters

Vacuum belt filters and belt presses: filter belts, joins, tracking.

Disc filters

Rotary discs under vacuum or pressure: filter bags and sectors.

Other filters

Candle filters, tower filters, drums: on request, after assessment.

Manufacturer

A recognised German manufacturer

Filter media are speciality products: each cloth has to suit a specific machine and a specific need. I represent a German filter media manufacturer, certified ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, recognised for its expertise in weaving and materials, its consistent quality and its ability to supply industrial sites worldwide. Its analysis and testing laboratory makes it possible to design the filter medium that best fits your process.

Compliance: the documents you can require

  • The manufacturer's quality system, for example ISO 9001 certification; ISO 14001 for the environment.
  • Food contact (brewing, sugar, flavourings): declaration of compliance with Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004 and, for plastic materials, with Regulation (EU) No 10/2011; FDA compliance if your products are shipped to the United States.
  • REACH: information on any substances of very high concern that may be present, Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006.
  • Technical data sheet and batch certificate: material, weave, mass per unit area, air permeability, traceability of the batch delivered.

I help you define what can be required for your site and obtain these documents from the manufacturer. See also Standards and regulations and Reading a specification.

Sectors

Each process wears cloths in its own way: abrasion from mineral sludges, chemical cleaning, temperatures, campaign throughput.

Nicolas Ract

Engineer, Arts et Métiers ParisTech
Founder of NRact Conseil & Agence

A former plant manager in an international setting, I set up an electroplating line with its utilities and its physico-chemical treatment and filtration station. I also designed and operated a silver refining installation.

I know your trade-offs. Unplanned shutdowns, cloths worn out too early, price against service life: I have lived them in operations and in process development.

I come with specialists to analyse your process on site, and I give you access to the laboratory and expertise of the manufacturer I represent in France to propose the right medium. Based in Nice, I work throughout France.

Let's talk about your installation

A cloth problem, a shutdown to prepare, a trial to set up: describe the situation and I will call you back within 48 working hours.
